Over 18 years of professional experience in infrastructure development, focusing on public private partnerships, risk and legal advisory projects, project finance, project development, energy law, environmental law and policy in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
George is a lawyer with over 18 years’ of transactional experience cutting across legal practice, financial services and the academia. He also has a wealth of experience in the consultancy sector for infrastructure finance and public private partnerships with particular interest in the electric power. His roles in various projects and organisations include: capacity building for public finance and economic management projects, legal expert, project management, the development of public private partnerships, lead negotiator, legal expert.
He also has working experience in various projects in the energy sector spanning several years offering his legal, negotiation, consultancy and management skills.

  • Legal Expert – Capacity Building for Public Finance and Economic Management Project (CBPFEM) – Working with Deloitte Zimbabwe and Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (Government of Zimbabwe)
  • Head of Negotiation Team – Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Project BOT Road Project, valued at $170m (Federal Ministry of Works, Nigeria)
  • PPP Coordinator — The Ibom Deep Sea Port, Greenfield Port Sector Project (Federal Ministry of Finance, Nigeria)
  • PPP Coordinator -– Terminal Development Project within Tin-Can Island Industrial Area, Lagos State, Brownfield port sector concession (Federal Ministry of Finance, Nigeria)
  • Head of Negotiation Team — 2nd Niger Bridge, major bridge linking the Eastern and Western parts of the country to be constructed as a BOT. Project is valued at around $120m (Federal Ministry of Works, Nigeria)
  • Project Manager — PPP Capacity Development for the US$4bn Batoka Gorge Hydroelectric Power Scheme Project Team (Zambezi River Authority (Governments of Zimbabwe and Zambia)
  • Head of Transaction Team — 350mw Gurara Hydroelectric Power Project, 350MW hydroelectric power project developed as a PPP (Federal Ministry of Power/ Ministry of Water Resources, Nigeria)
